Spituk - Stok :04 Days

Route: Leh- Spituk (by jeep)- Zingchen- Larsta- Kandla view point- Rumbak/Thangtik- Stok La (4900m)- Stok- Leh.

It is an easy trek for people of all ages. After 30 minutes drive from Leh, trek begins from Spituk Village.On termination, visit Stok Palace and proceed to Leh in jeep.



Sham Trek: (Likir- Tingmosgam) :04 Days

Period: Through the year

Highest Point: Tsemanchen La (3850 M)
Duration: 4 days

Route: Leh- Likir (by jeep)- Pobe La (3590m)-Yangthang- Ang- Tingmosgam- Leh.

An easy trek, it caters for people all ages. It is very convenient for those who prefer soft trek, visit monasteries and traditional Ladakhi villages. Trek begins From Likir, after 2-3 hours drive from Leh. Trail passes through number of villages. This area is one of the most fertile and rich regions of Ladakh. This route can be preceded or followed by visits to other cultural and heritage centres like Likir, Alchi, Rizong (Nunnery), Lamayuru monasteries and Dah- Hanu-Beama area (inhabited by ‘Drokpa’ tribe who are considered to be descendent of a displaced Aryan Tribe), before getting to Leh.



Sham Monastic Trek: Lamayuru- Alchi (via Tarla) :04 Days

Period: Mid June to Oct
Degree of difficulty: Moderate
Highest Point: Tar La (5250 M)
Duration: 4 days

Route: Leh- Lamayuru (by jeep)- Prikit La (3720m)- Urshi- Tar La (5250m)- Tar Village- Mangyu- Gera- Alchi- 3125m)- Leh.

This trek begins from the oldest monastery in Ladakh at Lamayuru (4-5 hours drive fronm Leh) and finishes at famous Alchi Choskor of 11th century, founded by Lotsava Rinchen Zangpo. Negotiating the Tar-la is fulfilling and inspiring. This trail can be preceded or followed by visits to other cultural and heritage centers like Likir, Rizong (Nunnery), Tingmosgam and Dah- Hanu-Beama area (inhabited by ‘Drokpa’ tribe who are considered to be descendent of a displaced Aryan Tribe).

Lower Indus Trek (Lamayuru- Stok) :07 Days

Route: Leh- Lamayuru (by jeep)- Wanla (3245m)- Hunju (3620m)- Konzke La (4950m)- Sumda- Dunduchenla (4800m)- Chilling (3460m)- Shingo (3650m)- Ganda La (4700m)- Yurutse (4100m)- Thangtik/ Rumbak- Stok La (4570m)- Stok- Leh.

Trek begins from the base of the famous Lamayuru monastery, a 4-5 hours drive from Leh.
This trail follows streams/ Small River and passes through numerous valleys till one reach Chilling, a village of craftsmen on the bank of River Zanskar. The entire route has five passes. This trek can be preceded by visits to other cultural and heritage centres like Alchi, Rizong, Lamayuru monasteries and Dah- Hanu-Beama area (inhabited by ‘Drokpa’ tribe and who are considered to be descendent of an original Aryan Tribe).

Markha Valley Trek: Spituk/ Stok- Hemis:08 Days

(a) Leh- Spituk (by jeep)- Zhingchen (3375m)- Rumbak (3800m)-Yurutse (4100m)- Ganda La (4940m)- Skui (3390m)- Markha (3813m)- Tchatchutse (3900m)- Namaling (4700m)- Kongmaru La (5150m)-Chogdo (3800m) Shang-Martselang (3750m)- Hemis- Leh.
(b) Leh- Stok(by jeep)-Stok La (4570m)- Rumbak (3800m)-Yurutse (4100m)- Ganda La (4940m)- Skui (3390m)- Markha (3813m)- Tchatchutse (3900m)- Namaling (4700m)- Kongmaru La (5150m)-Chogdo (3800m) Shang-Martselang (3750m)- Hemis- Leh.

It is one of the most favorite treks among trekkers for a long time because the trail follows the beautiful Skui- Markha valley. Numerous small villages, shepherds camps and passes are main feature of this trek. Trail famous for wildlife also. After 30 minutes drive from Leh, the trek begins either from Spituk or Stok Village and passes through Stokla and Gandala Pass, which takes you across Markha valley. The trek finishes at the famous Hemis monastery. On termination of trek, visit planned to Hemis, Thiksey monasteries and Shey Palace.



Markha Valley TrekII: Lamayuru- Hemis :11 Days

An interesting trek which begins from the base of famous Lamyuru Monastery, a 4-5 hours drive from Leh. It finishes at Hemis, the richest and most famous monastery of Ladakh. There are many passes on this trail. It passes through Hemis National Park, a sanctuary for snow leopard and other wild animalsand the beautiful Markha Valley. This route can be preceded by visits to other cultural and heritage centres like Alchi, Rizong, Lamayuru monasteries and Dah- Hanu-Beama area (inhabited by ‘Drokpa’ tribe who are considered to be descendent of an original Aryan Tribe).
